I got a long letter or more a long e-card from a friend today. She is a gorgious poetess, singer and mother. She raised three girls as a single parent dealing with the effects of childhood abuse. One girl became a therapist, one is a singer and one just does her a-levels and wants to gain better English knowledge. She does openings of events where she sings and reads her poetry and she has published several books with her poetry. And she is writing for a newspaper.
But she suffers so much. To deal with councils, money problems and dealing with other people is so hard for her because of the abuse. It is hard for her to keep both past events and actual situations apart and to see the good and lovable inside herself. It is so unfair that she still has to learn what a great person she is and that she has to suffer so much because of the abuse.
But no matter what – she goes on and on and she fights for a better life. And I think she will thrive and thrive more.
